Behind The PLB

I was born Patrick Allan Lew in 1985 to a Chinese father (Winson) and Japanese and Chinese-Taiwanese mother (Winnie). In April 2019, I legally changed my name to Patrick Lew Hayashi. Hayashi was my mother's transliterated maiden name.

I have two siblings. My older brother

Ricky and my younger (fictional) sister Madeline.

I am known by the stage name PLB. I'm an Asian American rock and roll musician and actor. I also played guitar in the local bands TheVerse and Crazy Loser in a Box. I served as a fill-in bassist for the death metal band Pleasure Gallows for a few months as well. I also play guitar in the rap-metal band Benigneglect with one of my good friends too!

I went to Wallenberg High School. I went to college at CSU East Bay. I graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy with a 2.17 GPA.

My full-time day job is a Deli Clerk at the grocery store SAFEWAY. I also do Door Dash as a side hustle. I contemplate looking for a second job perhaps.

I have a disability: type 2 bipolar disorder, depression and autism.

I play guitar, bass and compose music on a computer. I also sing and I also rap. I can't read music. I play by ear and by trial-and-error.

I made a guest cameo on Season 4 and Episode 1 on the critically acclaimed TV series The Man in the High Castle. I once acted in community theater when I was in my early 20s!

I was a celebrity spokesmodel for Antennas Direct.

I'm a 40 Under 40 Hall of Famer at CSU East Bay. Class of 2019. I'm also the first JA male to receive the award at my alma mater. I once done a TV interview for a K-POP TV channel.

I never got married or had children. But I have credentials with the opposite sex. Lol. Facts man, facts.
